Harbor Lights Baptist Church is a growing church in the community. A number of people from the Ashland area began meeting on Wednesday evenings in the spring of 2006 with Pastor Kevin Holland of the Havenwood Baptist Church in Hurley, WI. Seeking to attend an independent Baptist church yet holding to fundamental practices of evangelism, worship, program and godly living the group of members chartered the Harbor Lights Baptist Church of Ashland, WI. The church began to hold Sunday services at the Ashland Senior Community Center in September of 2006. Once the church in Ashland was established, Pastor Holland conducted services in Hurley and Ashland every Sunday.,

After pastoring both churches for 18 months, Pastor Holland made the decision to step aside and led the church on December 2, 2007 in the calling of Rev. Randall Hoffman as their next pastor. Pastor Hoffman and his family came from Warren, MI where he was an assistant pastor for seventeen years at the Antioch Baptist Church of Warren. He began his ministry on Sunday, February 3, 2008. In January of 2011 God provided a location for the church on Sanborn Avenue which we used for five years. February 28th, 2016 we relocated our services to use the First Covenant Church building. Harbor Lights celebrated its ten year anniversary on June 12, 2016 with 71 in attendance with church family and guests to which we give God the Glory! On June 21, 2017 the Lord provided us the opportunity to purchase the historic First Covenant Church building which was a great answer to our prayers! We look forward to what God will do in the years ahead to reach the community with the Gospel.
